Ad.winter(to summer?) male-type, larger individual.
Extremely angular, strong appearance and short projection of the primaries beyond the tail are far removed from Iceland Gull.
Ad.winter,male-type, larger individual with heavy head streaking.
Note the obvious squarish face, massive bill, and bulky body.

Ad.winter(to summer?) female or barrovianus type.
Its general structure looks lighter and slimmer than larger individuals.
The projection of the primaries beyond the tail is similar to the bill length.

Ad.winter(to summer?) female or barrovianus- type.
About the size of vegae, rather slimmer structure.
 
 
 


1st.winter barrovianus? longer primaries.
About the size of vegae, or a little larger. The projection of the primaries beyond the tail 
is longer than bill length. But it was obvious Glaucous Gull in its general structure.

1st.winter with a Japanese Cormorant, This has extended black on the bill.
Is it pure?

2nd.winter, Note the short primaries and longer bill.
