Slaty-backed Gull Larus schistisagus

When no other gulls for comparison present, mantle of a Slaty-backed Gull can appear as if it were the same tone as that of Vega Gull. But the truth is that the mantle shade of this individual is obviously darker (9 or 10 of Kodak Gray Scale?) compared with surrounding Vega Gulls.
